Tentative Costs and Registration Information
Please note: all costs are estimates based on instructors' prior experiences travelling in Ireland.
We will continue to advise enrolled students of course costs as the semester continues.
Please remember that costs depend in part on the value of the dollar against the Euro and the British Pound.
Price: Approximately $2,950.
All three courses in the Gustavus Travel Cluster 2005 cost the same. Since each course has its own focus, students in each will not follow the exact same daily schedule. It is estimated that all three courses will be together approximately 50% of the time.
Costs have been held to a minimum to make the course affordable for more students. A variety of accommodations will be used, from hostels to small hotels. In all cases, lodgings are centrally located and located within walking distance of major attractions and places of interest. By using a variety of lodgings, Gustavus Adolphus College students have an opportunity to experience Ireland from multiple perspectives and also meet a variety of international travelers.
Comprehensive Fee Includes
Transportation and course arrangements as indicated, accommodations in twin or triple rooms, light breakfast daily, at least five group dinners and four lunches, and 3-6 cultural performances.
Optional Excursion Days
In order to allow students in the class time to explore Ireland on their own, two days have been set-aside for this purpose. The comprehensive fee does not cover the cost of the student's expenses during the period January 13-15, 2005. Suggested options for these days and approximate costs are available here.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for any of the courses (Education students, note that this is a variation from the typical pre-requisites for EDU 398 and EDU 390). Students of all years, interests and majors are encouraged to enroll.
Registration
