Homework Guidelines
-
Turn in neat, well-written solutions, not messy first drafts. Trim
"fringes." Staple.
-
Explain your answer. Write in complete sentences. An "answer" (e.g.,
yes, no, 15) is never enough. Clarity of expression is important.
-
Do not copy collaborative solutions; write up solutions in your own
words. You are encouraged to work with other members of the class on
the homework assignments, but you should write up your own individual
solution to each exercise.
-
Acknowledge your sources (people and texts).
-
Turn in homework on time. No late homework will be accepted. (In
extreme circumstances, you can arrange to turn in an assignment after
the deadline but only if you make arrangements with me ahead of time.)
-
If you will not be in class on a day that an assignment is due, drop
it off by my office or have a friend bring it to class. Never send
your homework through the POs.
