IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Just as you need to pay attention to copyright laws when you publish or use a hardcopy document, you must do the same when publishing on the web or using multimedia materials for any purpose other than your own personal use. In many cases, you will need to obtain the author’s or publisher’s approval. In other cases, you may only need to cite your source. In a few cases, you can use the material without reference. Most web sites or other sources will include some statement regarding use of the content found therein. Even if it does not, any material that includes a copyright date should not be used without permission. Below are 4 examples of instructions/warnings taken from web sites.

For personal purposes, you may use the images and include a limited number of those image(s) on a personal, non-commercial website. However, excepting these limited uses, you may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, print or transfer these images on any tangible medium, or otherwise exploit them in any way. Copyright Information

The Amazing Picture Machine is a database of links to graphic resources that have been found on the Internet and cataloged by NCRTEC staff. It is not possible to make a categorical statement about the copyright status of all the pictures and other resources within The Amazing Picture Machine. The pictures we provide links to are from many different Web sites, and their copyrights are held by a large number of different people and/or organizations. If you wish to use any of the images, you must contact the holder of the copyright and inquire about the copyright status of the individual image.
