Some background information:
Kings is part of the Deuteronomic History and was written had a major redaction during Josiah’s reign (late 7th century B.C.E.)
Chronicles was written in the post-exilic period (that is, post the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E.). The date of Chronicles is probably sometime in the 4th century B.C.E.
That means Chronicles is at least 300 years later than Kings
