Before you go fishing there are a few pieces of safety information you must know. First off, you should never excessively consume alchohol while fishing because of the danger of falling out and drowning or suffering from hypothermia if it is too cold out. Also you should always be aware of where your hook is relative to the other people in your boat so that you don't end up hooking one of them or even possibly yourself. You should always have at least one personal flotation device per person in the boat even if you are not going to wear them. That way if someone were to fall you could throw them one or if the boat were to capsize everyone could grap one. When Ice fishing you should always know how thick the ice is, and not go out if it is too thin. You should never drive your small truck onto the ice unless it is at least 8-12 inches thick.

With all that in mind, I hope that you will give fishing a chance and someday maybe even love it as much as I do.
