    ÒBeide Kantaten wurden Komponiert zum Dank fŸr die Entlassung aus dem Konzentrationslager Berlin-SachsenhausenÓ [in 1937].

    ÒDie erste Kantate fŸhrte ich zum ersten Male in Salzhausen auf im Jahre 1957. SpŠter 2x in St. Michaelis LŸneburg. Die zweite Kantate ist noch unberŸhrt.Ó 

    (Both cantatas were composed in thanksgiving for [my] release from the concentration camp in Berlin-Sachsenhausen in 1937.
