Ghostface Killah

Before Ghostface Killah released his first album, Ironman, he shined on Raekwon’s Only Built For Cuban Linx…, building anticipation for his release.  Ironman shined in critics eyes as well as in sales.  It was almost as if every Wu-Tang member was reaching platinum status with ease, and Ghost was no exception.  Ironman possessed a more soulful production from The RZA which was a trend that Ghost has followed for the majority of his albums.

Ghostface’s second album was critically acclaimed by mainstream critics as well as hip-hop enthusiasts everywhere.  Supreme Clientele dropped in the year 2000 and the album eventually hit gold.  This album was credited for reviving the Wu-Tang movement, which had fallen off since Forever dropped in 1997. 

Since Supreme Clientele, Ghostface Killah has released another five albums.  All have received very positive reviews, but only Fishscale reached gold.  Ghostface has publicly voiced his displeasure with his fans and their lack of support towards his latest release, The Big Doe Rehab, announcing that everyone is just downloading his album.  The album has only sold just upwards of 70,000 units so far which is disappointing because it is a very solid album.
