Event: Research at the Randolph County Genealogical
Society in Chester (open for our group by special arrangement; regular
hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9-3).

Friday/Saturday:
Research at the Ozark Regional Library in the new Ste. Genevieve County
Community Center, open Friday, 10-6, and Saturday, 10-4 (closed Sunday).

Friday/Saturday/Sunday:
Tour of the Ste. Genevieve Museum, open Monday-Saturday, 9-11 and 2-4,
and Sunday, 11-4.

Friday/Monday: Research
at county courthouses in Randolph County (be sure to check out the view
of the Mississippi River from the overlook) and Ste. Genevieve County.

Saturday: Research
at genealogy libraries in Illinois: Chester (open 10-3), DuQuoin (open
9-3), and Sparta (open 10-4).

Saturday: Driving
self-tour of Randolph County, including Fort Kaskaskia State Park, Pierre
Menard Home, Ellis Grove, Nine Mile Creek (near where James and Martha
Hughes Pillers built a home in the late 1700s), Colvis Orchards, Fort du
Chartres, Prairie du Rocher, Sparta (Bricktown, Roscoe Misselhorn Gallery,
Revolutionary War veterans' plaque at Sparta High School), Underground
Railroad house in Eden, Charter Oak School, Marys River Covered Bridge,
Popeye Statue.

Sunday: Driving self-tour
of Ste. Genevieve County, including the Saline Creek area where James Pillers
once owned land, and Kaskaskia Island, site of the historic Kaskaskia Bell
and Immaculate Conception church.

Anytime: Walking
tour of Ste. Genevieve historic area; golf in Ste. Genevieve or Chester;
shopping for antiques/arts/crafts; and exploring area parks, such as Hawn
State Park in Missouri and Randolph State Fish and Wildlife Area (also
known as Randolph County Park) in Illinois.
We will have brochures and maps available
at the reunion, or you may have them mailed to you when you register (see
registration
form).
