Randolph Co. Probate Record 1832-1844-- February 6, 1837 p. 158-159
The last will and testament of Martha Pillers as was filed in the court
by William C. Martin; where upon, William C. Martin & Levi Tindall
two subscribing interests thereto were sworn, & on oath they say they
were present {?} the testator sign said will that they believed her to
be of sound mind & memory at the time of signing said will. It is therefore
considered by the court, that said will is duly proved, & ordered by
the court, that said will be recorded.
March 6th 1837
The Judge of the court of probate of Randolph County_ This is to give notice
that I relinquish my right to become Executor of the last will & testament
of Martha Pillers dec'd.

Randolph Co. Probate Record 1832-1844--March 13, 1837 - p. 163
Court adjorned until the 13th inst. (March)
On which day (March 13th 1837) On motion of Robert Miller, (Richard
Pillers who was appointed Executor, having filed his relinquishment) Ordered
that the said Robert Miller be appointed administrator, with the will annexed
of the estate of Martha Pillers deceased.

Robert Miller administrator of Martha Pillers, deceased, presents an
additional bill of appraisement of the personal property of said deceased
amounting to $3-00 which examined, approved & filed.
Randolph Co. Probate Record 1832-1844--June 6, 1838 - p. 195
Robert Miller administrator of Martha Pillers deceased files an account
current with said estate from which it appears that there have come to
the hands of said administrator the sum of one hundred twenty seven dollars
& two cents & that said administrator has paid out for fees &
expenses & for debts due & owing by said estate the sum of one
hundred & seventy four dollars & forty four cents, leaving the
estate indebted tot he said administrator in the sum of forty seven dollars
& forty four cents, which account is examined, approved & filed.

Robert Miller admin. Of Martha Pillers deed presents his account current
with the estate of said deceased, from which it appears that assetts to
the amount of $127.02 have come to the hands of said administrator, &
that he has paid out $174.43 cents, leaving the estate indebted to the
administrator in the sum of $47.43 which account is examined approved and
& filed.

County of Randolph
I solemnly swear that this writing contains the the true last will
& testament of Martha Pillers dec'd. so far as I know or believe; &
that I will well & truly execute the same, by paying first the debts,
& then the legacies mentioned therein, as far as her goods & chattels
will thereunto extended & the law charge me; & that I will make
a true & perfect inventory of all such goods & chattels, rights
& credits as may come to my hands or knowledge, belonging to the estate
of said deceased, & render a fair & just account of my administration,
when thereunto required by law, to the best of my knowledge & abilities.
So help me God.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF MARTHA PILLARS
"In the name of God Amen. I Martha Pillars of Randolph County and State
of llinois, being of Sound mind and Body, but knowing the uncertainly of
Human life do constitute this as my last Will and Testament in manner and
form following to wit.
Firstly I commend my Soul to God as into the hands of a merciful Redeemer
and my body to the ground.
2ndly I will and Bequeath to my beloved Grandson James F. Pillars one
bay mare.
3rdly I will and bequeath to my beloved granddaughter Mary Pillars
my bed & bed clothes.
4thly To my beloved daughter in law Martha J. Pillars, I will &
bequeath my Side Saddle and Cloak.
The residue of whatever property I may die possessing (?) of I will
& bequeath to my beloved Son Richard Pillars.
Furthermore I nominated and appoint my Son Richard Pillars as my sole
executor of this my last will & Testament. In witness whereof I have
hereto set my hand this Second day of March 1835----
