The State of Ohio Pike County
Pike Court of Common Pleas June term being the 17th day of June AD 1845

Be it remembered that on this day the Last Will and testament of William Pillars late of Pike County Ohio deceased was brought before the Court and was proved by the oaths of Samuel Skowden and William Cross the two subscribing Witnesses thereto whose examination was reduced to writing and reads in the words and figures following towit. Personally appeared in open Court at the June term 1845 Samuel Skowden and William Cross and each of them made oath that they saw William Pillars sign and seal the annexed paper purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the said William Pillars; that they each of them heard him call it his last Will and testament that they each signed it as witnesses in his presece and at his request and that he was at the time of full age of sound mind and memory and under no restraint. Samuel Skowden William Cross Sworn to and subscribed in open Court June 12th 1845.

I William Pillars of the County of Pike in the State of Ohio do make and Publish this my last Will and testment in manner and form following that is to say first it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid second I give and devise to my eldest and only son Josiah Pillars all my real estate also all my personal property belonging to said Estate. Third I give and devise to my daughter Elizabeth Davis four hundred Dollars. Fourth I give and devise unto my three grand children Wm Parker John Parker and Nancy Parker heirs of Rebecca Parker my Daughter four hundred and fifty dollars to be equally divided between them and if one of them should die before they come of age its share to be equally divided between the other two and if two should die before they arrive at full age the other to receive the four hundred and fify dollars. I do also appoint Josiah Pillars my son sole Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of auugust in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named William Pillars to be his last Will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscrived our names witnesses in the presence of the testator.
