Quality Indicators for Professionalism

The following statement serves as a description of the quality indicators for professionalism.  It is based upon the MN Standards of Effective Practice and the Gustavus teacher education mission statement and conceptual framework.  The statement will serve as a basis for attitudinal and behavioral expectations within this course. This is meant to encourage and support the behaviors appropriate for education students, and includes participation in class discussions. You will rate yourself on your 'professionalism' each quarter.

How to use the indicators as a rubric for EDU 340:

1. Please give yourself an overall score using the quality indicators listed below. A total professionalism score should be between 1 - 10 and should be based on the student’s efforts to reflect this statement as a whole.

2. Write on the back of the form your reasons for your score and identify at least one goal for your ongoing focus in this class and beyond.
