(and the first pages of chapter 11) of
Elementary Mathematical Models
and related material presented in class.
You will still need to demonstrate knowledge of the
earlier topics we studies in
Elementary Mathematical Models,
particularly the basic ideas of difference equations
and functional equations, and the specifics of
arithmetic growth and linear models.

- Fitting a Line to Data
- Geometric Growth
- Exponential Functions
- Rules for Logarithms
Suggested review problems
- Chapter 8 Reading Comprehension exercises 1 and 2
(The exam will not require you to know the formulas
for the least-squares regression line.)
- Selected chapter 9 Mathematical Skills problems
- Selected chapter 10 Mathematical Skills problems
-
An old quiz on linear and exponential growth
- Also review some chapter 4 and 5 problems
(arithmetic growth and linear models)
