College catalog's course description

This course is intended for those students who do not plan to take Calculus but who wish to take a mathematics course for general interest or to fulfill an area requirement. The course is designed to illustrate the applications of a variety of mathematical tools, including topics such as set theory, linear equations and inequalities, matrices, linear programming, probability, statistics, and game theory.

Prerequisites: High school plane geometry and higher algebra.

QUANT: This course acquaints the student the logic and abstractions of the mathematical and informational sciences.
