MCS 121--Calculus I--Midterm grading
Score = [.12*Test#1 + .18*Exam#1 + (.15/2)*Homework + (.05/2)*Other]
/[.12 + .18 + .15/2 + .05/2]
+ WeBWorK @0.1/(1/2) per point - #absences over 2.
Thus the midterm score represents
.12 + .18 + .15/2 + .05/2 = .40 = 40% of the total course points.
- Numerical scores were converted to letter grades according to the
exam scale
given on the course information pages.
- Extra credit homework points were added to regular homework totals.
- The lowest homework score was discarded.
- Extra class participation boosted the "Other" (quizzes) score.
- WeBWorK points were added to the overall score @0.2 per point.
(For the whole semester, they'll count @0.1 per point.)
- One point was deducted from the midterm total for each absence
after the 2nd.
- An absence the day before or the day after a break counts double.
