As an academic librarian and assistant professor at Gustavus, I provide reference service, teach library instruction classes and liaison with the Classics; Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies; Political Science; and Religion departments. With special responsibilities in collections access, I undertake projects designed to better connect patrons to our collections.  I serve on several library and campus-wide committees and I am also the John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning Faculty Associate for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. I invite you to view my vita for more information about my professional work.

My research interests include investigating the impact of multiple instruction sessions on student information literacy skills, recreational reading on college campuses, the future of the catalog/ILS, library anxiety, and future trends in article databases. I am especially interested in the scholarlship of teaching and learning as it relates to library and research skills.
