Assessment of Web Pages

Point distributions on the web pages will be as follows:

60 pts: Content and Depth of Topic
10 pts: Effectiveness of presentation
10 pts: Web page design and visual appeal

Content and Depth of Topic:

1. Introduction: The web page must have a topic that is clearly defined and a strong controlling thesis
2. Evidence/information supporting your topic (tables, figures, etc)
3. Conclusions (and/or Policy Recommendations) clearly restating the main points of your topic and giving policy recommendations (if appropriate)
4. The web page must contain a bibliography with a minimum of 5 references - journals are best
5. In-text citations are not required

Effectiveness of Presentation:

1. General flow of your topic - should be a logical progression from beginning to end
2. No off-topic subjects
3. Grammar/spelling etc

Web Page Design The web page should be easy to read and navigate through. Exquisite web pages are not necessary.
