Pastor
Paul, literally the coolest guy in Minneapolis. He transformed an old synagogue
in North Minneapolis into a mission. Every band in Minneapolis has held a
fund-raiser for his work, and each year First Avenue hosts a GIANT event to
raise money. I believe the effort raised $28,000 last year. He works a million
hours a week. With his skill set and knowledge base he could run Honeywell.
Assist with packaging food bags, moving food in the warehouse. One
day and one evening a week volunteers ascend upon the mission to help with this
task. Minimum of two-hour time commitment, 10 people maximum.

The Emergency FoodShelf Network (EFN) is a
leader in the collection and distribution of millions of pounds of food each
year to many food shelves and on-site feeding programs throughout the state of
Minnesota. For nearly 30 years, EFN's reputation and customer service has
helped create numerous programs aimed at significantly and efficiently reducing
hunger in our communities. The organization's program names, which include
"EFN", "All Seasons Food Rescue", "Fare For All",
and "Farmers Market" among others, represent one of the state's most
responsive families of community programs.
á
Food Sorting: When

church groups. Up to 30 people can volunteer at a time. Contact EFN to schedule
a time.

FOOD FOR ALL ¨ is a program of the Food Industry Crusade Against
Hunger (FICAH), which is a voluntary effort of the food industry to alleviate
hunger and malnutrition by fostering long-term, self-help solutions in the
United States and around the world. In principle, FICAH and its FOOD FOR ALL
programs teach a person to fish, rather than simply providing the person with
fish. By doing this we promote human dignity and enable our hungry neighbors to
become self-sufficient.
