Suggestions for Studying
Studying for Quiz #6 This
quiz covers the material we've covered since the the last quiz (C,
chpt. 5). In particular, you should have a good understanding of
what a definite integral is. More precisely, you should be able
to:
- use definite integrals to calculate change in position given
velocity
- use left-hand and right-hand sums to esitimate a definite integral
- use basic area formulas to find the value of a definite integral
- use definite integrals to find areas
- use the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus to calculate a definite
integral
- know, understand and use properties of the definite integral
Like always, the best way to study for this exam is to do problems you
haven't done before. A good place to look would be in the review
problems for chapter 5 in the calculus book.
