A GOAL FOR GABORIK: 1/27/08
Appearing in his second career All-Star game, Marian Gaborik had a tough act to follow after teammate Brian Rolston's performance at the competition last year. Rolston recorded 2 goals at last year's All-Star game and also had 2 assists. On Sunday, Gaborik did not have this great of a performance but did manage to score a goal mid-way through the 3rd period.
WILD TO FACE ANAHEIM: 1/30/08
After a long, relaxing six day break preceeding the NHL All-Star game, the Wild go back to work Wednesday on home ice against a tough Anaheim team. The two teams last met on January 18th when the Ducks beat the Wild by a final score of 4-2. Defensemen Sean Hill (ankle), and forwards Derek Boogaard (back), and Stephane Veilleux (back) will most likely not appear in tonight's game due to various injuries. The Wild head into this game with a good six days rest from games and a sense of confidence after beating Colorado on the road by a score of 3-2. Look for this to be a hard-fought game.

GABORIK TO REPRESENT WILD: 1/24/08
Marian Gaborik is selected to the NHL All-Star game which is set to commence on Sunday, Jan 27 in Atlanta. Gaborik was last chosen to the All-Star game in 2003 where he went on to win the fastest skater competition. Gaborik was the only player selected from the Wild where he leads in the goals and points categories with 25 and 52 respectively. Gaborik's five goal performance on December 20th will not be overlooked on Sunday and proves that he is a very dangerous man when the puck is near him. Tallying five points in his last five games heading into the All-Star break, Gaborik looks to be a threat in this year's competition.
