Speargun: Spearguns consist of a metal spear that is propelled forward by a rubber band, that is released by pulling the trigger. Spearguns make it much eaiser to not only catch fish, but catch bigger fish! This is because you don't need to be as close to the fish like a pole-spear would make you. Spearguns come in many lengths. |
Wetsuit: Sleek, clingy and form fitting suits come in one or two pieces. These are used to shed water quickly and keep the wearer warm in colder water. Hoods can be worn to make one self more streamline. |
Scuba Gear: For prolonged underwater time, scuba gear is neccessary. This consists of your bouyancy counter vest, which is used so you don't keep floating to the surface, oxygen tank, oxygen delivery system, and your gauges. |
Dive Knives: Dive knives are very handy to have around when spearfishing. You wouldn't believe how often you need to cut yourself out of a tangle. They are strapped to your bouyancy counter, leg or arm. They come in blunt (shown here), sharp and serrated versions. Safety First! |
Dive Light: Dive lights are another safety thing. Used not only for seeing when it gets dark but also, signaling between other divers. Besides that they're just fun. |
