1.             Describe the role that art played in the European conquest of the Americas. Discuss specific examples of art and/or architecture. How does the modern image of Onate play a role in the relationship between descendants of the indigenous peoples and of the European settlers?

 

2.             Describe the fusion of native and European features in the art and architecture of the American southwest. Discuss specific examples of art and/or architecture.

Who were Innocent III and Manetti and what ideas did each proffer? Describe two artworks of the 15th century Renaissance that convey humanism.

I will ask you to discuss each of the topics in relationship to the artwork which you have identified in this question (part 4).
