# MCS-177 Homework 2, Spring 2001

## Due: February 19, 2001

- Do exercise 2.4, p. 33.
- Do exercise 2.7, p. 38.
- Do exercise 2.21, p. 45. (Part (a) is not intended to be
difficult or profound.)
- Do exercise 3.15, p. 70. In part a, you can just show the steps
that involve applying
`f`

or `g`

to a number,
for example `(f 2)`

or `(g 2)`

, rather
than needing to explicitly show the steps involving subtraction of 1,
testing for equality with 0, etc. If you have trouble with part c,
re-read page 51. (If you then still have trouble, please ask me for help.)
