Homework Assignment 5

Remember: You are encouraged to turn in individual problems as soon as possible, rather than turning in the whole assignment on the due date. Please mark each problem with the exercise number from the book.

• Do exercise 14.1 on page 496.
• Do exercise 14.3 on page 497. In order to test this in DrScheme, you can use these excerpts from CompuDuds. Remember that you'll also need to start your definition file in DrScheme with the line

  (require (lib "oops.ss" "concabs"))
  

  to make sure that the object-oriented programming system is loaded. You'll also probably want to use your solution to exercise 14.2.
• Do exercise 14.5 on page 498.
• Do exercise 14.6 page 499. However, instead of shifting all items after the deleted item one position closer to the beginning of the array as suggested in the textbook, simply copy the item in the last position into the deleted position. Again, to test this in DrScheme, you can use the excerpts mentioned above, as well as object/describe and your solution to exercise 14.5.
