Derivative Skills Test Review
This is a "skills test." It is meant to test your
ability to find derivatives of functions.
General Rules

This is an in-class test.

No notes, books or calculators are allowed.

This test covers 3.1-3.6. The section on "related rates" in 3.6
will not be covered on this test.
In addition, you are not responsible for the derivatives inverse trig functions.
Suggested Exam Study Tactics

Look over your old homework assignments and in-class exercises.

Do a few of the suggested review problems. Answers are posted outside
your instructor's office.

Make sure you know how to find the derivative of each type of function
covered in Chapter 3. In addition, you should be able to use the
following rules correctly: sum and difference, constant multiple,
product, quotient, chain.

pp 159-160: 1-13, 15-22, 24-35, 37-44, 47-52, 60-62 (Note that we
have not done many problems like 26-35 where there are arbitrary
constants instead of numbers. Expect at most one problem like that.)
