ART 109: Shibori: Japanese shaped
resist dyeing
10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with an hour for lunch
There
will be daily lecture/demonstrations at 10:30 of 2 or 3 techniques. Lunch hour can be flexible, but you are
expected to be in class for 4 hours each day.
For those who have something to dye first thing in the morning, we will
try to get a bath going before the demonstration. Otherwise we will start baths
after. The last dye bath of the day
needs to start at 2:15 or 1 hour before you leave, so that you will be able to
rinse before you leave. You are
responsible for removing your fabric and rinsing it!
