About Bruce

Bruce Norelius has crowned himself Phashion Philosopher for Philosophers on Holiday. He doesn't exactly remember how this came about, although he admits a life-long interest in all things aesthetic. When he's not working feverishly at his editorial desk at the offices of P.O.H., he's a principal in a 13-member architecture firm on the coast of Maine.

Bruce's main complaint in life is that he can only lead one of them at a time. This leads to great frustration regarding missed opportunities in other careers where he's convinced he would make great contributions, and other places he might live where everything would be Perfect. Nevertheless, he counts himself fortunate to have the life he does, and often reminds himself of a brilliant thesis presented by noted philosopher Oprah Winfrey, who reminds us we can have it all, just not all at once. Instead of living in many places simultaneously, he tries to travel to some of them, usually with his partner Landis whose travel bug is as deeply imbedded as his. They always come home well-nourished (literally and intellectually, of course) and inspired. Currently, Bruce is trying to explore the elusive quality of mystery as it pertains to architectural and landscape space.
