- The test will cover all materials from Chapter 1 through 5 of the textbook. There are two parts—a theoretical part and an ML programming part. The theoretical part is 50-minute and will be in class on March 16. The programming part is takehome and is due before class (8am) on March 19.
- In-class Exam Format
- The in-class test is closed book, closed notes, but you may bring in a US-letter sized paper with your notes hand-written on it. No computer-generated printout is allowed but you may write on both sides of the paper. Moreover, no electronic device of any kind is allowed during the test.
- Takehome Exam Format
- You can use our textbook as a reference for ML. However, you must write the programs yourself. No problem discussion of any kind, help, or internet search is allowed. There will be no credit for incorrect programs.
