SLL is an interior design and engineering firm based in Minneapolis. It was bought by Leo A. Daly, an architecture, planning, engineering and interior design firm in February of 2003. The firm has been purchased many times over the years which is why the name of the varies on Gustavus records.

    Gustavus Adolphus College has always made very conscious decisions when selecting their architects. For those unfamiliar with the campus, the buildings do not have a constant theme that pulls them together.  This may seem odd seeing that many of the same builders have constructed multiple buildings on campus.  One reason for this is the tornado of 1998. Prior to this calamity a majority of the campus was built from stone which is commonly seen around St. Peter. There are only three stone buildings remaining on campus: Old Main, Rundstrom and Anderson Social Science Center. According to Warren Wunderlich, who works at the Physical Plant he claims the buildings at Gustavus are what he likes to call “Prairie Practical”.  They are all very common and simple structures.  Gustavus prefers to stick with a builder for long periods of time (usually a decade or two). Below are some of the architectural firms that the college has made use of.

Gustavus has used different architects within the firm, one for example named Bill Ingemann.
