C. Charles Jackson Campus Center

Purpose: Student Resource Center

The C. Charles Jackson Center, proposed in 1997 and dedicated to the Gustavus campus April 8th, 2000 was a  $19.4 million dollar project, the most costly project in the college’s history.  After the tornado of March 29th, 1998, the construction of the new campus center was taken as a major step of recovery to the Gustavus community.
The building was named after C. Charles Jackson, a retired donor from Minnetonka whose gifts to the college totaled about $4 million. The 106,000 square foot campus center is now connected to the old Student Union building.
